Steamed Fish with Cream Sauce

Probably the most confusing and yet easy to make home cook dish recipe I've ever encountered

1 medium size fish
1 leek (chopped)
some celery, sweet pepper, salt,sesame oil and chopped nuts (depends on your desire/taste)
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup stock or water
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. cooking oil

boil fish in boiling salt water(with enough water and salt to cover the fish, these are not listed in the ingredients) for 15 mins

boil water or stock with celery, sweet pepper and seasoning and salt

ad milk and thicken with cornstarch

place fish in dish an pour sauce over the fish

garnish with leeks an nuts

sprinkle cooking oil and sesame oil

*ginger can be used instead of celery and pepper

Quick egg bread

3 to 3 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 envelope of fast rising dry yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 cup hot water
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tsp. sesame seeds

Grease 9" round cake pan.

Combine the flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a large bowl and mix well.

Separate one egg and set aside.

Add yolk and remaining egg, hot water and oil to dry ingredients. mix vigorously with wooden spoon until smooth.

Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface.

Knead until smooth and elastic. kneading in additional flour if necessary.

cover with mixing bowl and let rest for 5 mintues

Divide dough into 16 pieces. Arrange in pieces in prepared pans.

beat reserved egg white until foamy.

brush over rolls and sprinkle sesame seeds.

set wire rack in 9x13 inch baking dish

add enough boiling water to come just below the rack.

set pan on rack. cover w/towel and let rise in warm draft free area until it doubled volume

about 25 mins in 325 oven



2 "square" of unsweetened chocolate
1/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup shifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts

melt first two ingredients

beat in third and fourth ingredients

shift together and stir in 5,6 and 7th ingredients

finally mixed in nuts

spread in well greased 8" square pan

bake for 350 for 30 to 35 mins or until top has dull crust (A slight imprint will be left when the top is touched lightly with finger)

let it cool slightly an cut into square

Blonde Brownies

2/3 cups margarine
2 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
3 eggs
2 2/3 cup flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup choco chips
* 1 cup coconut

Melt margarine in a large pan.

Blend in the brown sugar and let it melt.

Let this stand for 10 minutes until it cooks.

Add eggs (one at a time) and mix well.

Add shifted dry ingredients.

Spread in greased pan 15"x10"x1" cookie sheet

Bake at 325 for 25 minutes
