The apple pie, We all grow up with or at least with this yummy delicious recipe I grew up with making this pie with my grandmother when I was younger. Not only recently I found the apple pie recipe in one of the recipe box.
6 apples sliced
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 cup water (optional)
2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup cold water
note: for this recipe there was no procedure on how to make this but I remember something from before..
pre heat oven to 350C
mix the fillings, make sure the apples get evenly coated, you might want to add a little water to help it spread.
for the crust you mix all the ingredient together and mix it into a ball of dough
then divide the dough into two for the upper and lower crust
with a rolling pin roll the dough round, a little bigger than the pie plate so the side will be covered.
spray or grease the bottom of the plate
put dough, and with a fork poke the dough evenly
put the filling in
then make the top layer of the crust and put it on top to cover it
make small incisions or holes to let excess water and pressure to escape
beat egg yolk and brush over top
bake for 20~30 mins or until crust is golden brown
