Bean Burger

2 cups boiled red navy beans (peeled and mashed)
1/4 kilo ground beef
1 lightly beaten egg
2 chopped red bell peppers
1/2 cup chopped singkamas (Jícama a.k.a Mexican turnips)
1 minced onion
1/4 bread crumbs
1 tbsp. powered milk (optional)
1 tbsp. margarine
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 lightly lightly beaten egg
1 cup bread crumbs with 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper

combine onions, beef, beans, egg, bell peppers, singkama, bread crumbs,
milk, margarine, tomato sauce, soy sauce, salt and pepper
mix throughly
form 2 tablespoons of mixture into balls
roll in bread crumbs and dip in eggs and again in bread crumbs
shape into patties and fry in hot oil until golden brown
serve with bananan ketchup
